Rebecca Ryan

Rebecca is an Associate Director of STW with extensive experience in the Sports, Commercial & Hotel & Leisure sectors and has delivered many of the larger projects undertaken by the practice in Ireland and abroad. She is qualified in project management (DipProjMan (TCD)) and collaborative BIM (DIT) and most recently gained certification as a Passive House designer.

Rebecca joined STW in 1998 having previously worked in London with RMJM, a large multi-disciplinary practice, working on highly specialised projects ranging from power stations to state laboratories.

In her role as project architect with STW she has been responsible for the delivery of sports & leisure projects including the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, the redevelopment of Pairc Ui Chaoimh in Cork and King Saud University Sports Campus & international athletics arena in Riyadh, as well as significant hospitality projects including the Clarion Hotels in Dublin and Cork. More recently Rebecca has managed the design and delivery of healthcare and education projects in Northern Ireland.

Since qualifying in Collaborative BIM, Rebecca has been an advocate for its adoption by the practice, is enthusiastic about its potential to streamline the delivery of large complex projects and is actively involved in the integration of BIM standards and protocols in STW’s procedures.  

In recognition of the achievement by the Aviva Stadium in winning national and international accessible design awards, Rebecca was invited to serve as a member of the RIAI Universal Design Task Force which promotes accessibility for all as a fundamental attribute of the built environment.
