Dipl-Ing, RIBA, Architect ARB
Philippe is a Senior Architect / Associate ARB, RIBA with over 13 years of professional experience in the healthcare / higher education design sector, and a key member of the Healthcare Division of Scott Tallon Walker Architects. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, he studied Architecture at University Carolo Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig (TU Braunschweig) in Germany.
Following his year out working in Bordeaux, France, Philippe returned to Braunschweig to complete his degree. After graduating in 2002, he worked in Hamburg for two years on various major industrial and commercial projects. In 2004 he moved to Dublin/Ireland to join STW. In Ireland he worked on a wide range of complex hospitals and healthcare facilities varying between 1000sqm and 68.000sqm.
Philippe moved to London in early 2011 and is working for STW London on various mixed development projects and new healthcare projects, as well as healthcare expansion/refurbishment projects, and higher education / research projects both in the UK and abroad, and is involved in multiple projects on the University College London Hospitals UCLH Framework.
Philippe has gained extensive experience in all aspects of the design and construction process, including concept development/feasibility studies, developed design, detail design, healthcare planning, stakeholder engagement including analysing the end users/clients requirements, coordination and management of end user group/client consultations to concept design, detailed design for planning consent, tender and construction stage, contract administration and project management.
Philippe is passionate about good and efficient design in healthcare and how it can aid the wellbeing and fast recovery of patients.
